About Us

The Kensal Green Directory is an independent, non-profit making community website providing local information about Kensal Green & Kensal Rise in Brent, North West London NW10 & the surrounding area. The website was set up by local mum Lynn Clark.

Lynn was born a couple of miles down the road in Hammersmith Hospital & moved to the Kensal Green area ten years ago. Until then it had always been somewhere she had driven through to get to the M1 & she never dreamt that one day she would live here! She married in St John's Church Kensal Green & moved into her husband's flat in Leighton Gardens. She had her children at Hammersmith Hospital too (latterly Queen Charlottes) & her two sons, who were baptised at St John's Kensal Green, are attending local nursery & school. During the time Lynn has lived in the area she has seen many changes, one being the growth in community spirit & it is this she is trying to capture on this website, as well as create an invaluable local guide.

Creating an extensive community website for our area is challenging but exciting! The KGD is constantly updated & we always welcome any local info., comments or suggestions, as we aim to provide a comprehensive community website for everyone.
